Bio
EMOTIONS
A multi-faceted artist who effortlessly creates mainly large format works that are simultaneously lyrical and mysterious, jubliant yet pensive. Employing these paradoxes, Sibylle skillfully applies a multi-hued palette, enrichened with golds and silver that can evoke waves of emotions and deep feelings. Sibylle's work highlights elemental images using dramatic ploys such as contrasts in scale, shifts in focus, mirrored reflections, staccato images, and multiple or layered surfaces. Sensory perception for Sibylle is a spiritual activity. One that leads to a heightened awareness of both nature and culture. "Balance is extremely important, as in shapes, forms, colours and space. Space and its never-ending energy is all encompassing." She says. This thought process points to a new kind of realism, one that is engaged with the actual processes of life. Gathering her subjects from a whirlpool of emotions, she draws on her inner world, drawing us into an enigmatic and luxuriant world of imagination, seduction, and spirit, she creates organic shapes and flowing contours.

THE NOW
Ever the multicultural global spirit, Sibylle has lived in Germany, Italy, South Africa, and Spain, relocating to the sub tropical coast of Australia where she currently resides. Surrounded by the calmness of nature, she has created a genre that represents a crossroads of East and West. Executed in a strong stylised method, her works are distinguished by layered shapes, layered colours, and entwining metalics. Her work creates a unique, spiritual aesthetic. Sibylle is constantly evolving her broard oeuvre into a spiritual experience for the viewer that shifts and morphs though time and space. As the artist herself has said, "People need art, it is the healer of all senses". She has herself, utilised her gifts to overcome personal crises and difficult times. And her art can be equally therapeutic and emotional for the viewer to the point of prompting a physical response.
